The e-Work Permit portal is managed by the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment (hereinafter referred to as 'MLIRET').
Access to this portal is public. However, users who access this website should understand that while on this portal they are agreeable to the monitoring of all their visits and to ensuring compliance with the applicable laws, rules and regulations governing the hacking, the breaking into and modifying the contents, or the posting of any document or information which may violate the copyright laws or other laws of Mauritius as applicable.
Visitors will be able to view general information regarding the services offered by the Ministry through this portal. However, only subscribers will be able to submit applications online on the portal.
The MLIRET reserves the right, at its discretion, to suspend, change, add or remove parts of the contents of the portal at any time and to restrict use and accessibility thereto.
The MLIRET reserves the right to restrict or deny a subscriber access to this portal if the latter fails to comply with any of the terms and conditions.
This portal has been designed to provide an electronic platform with regard to application for Permission in Principle, Work Permits, Recruitment Licence and Authorisation Card for foreign students. The MLIRET may add or remove any of the services.
The MLIRET will, if so required, share information provided by subscribers through this portal with other Government agencies for validation purposes.
Registration
Users will be required to register with the e-Work Permit system to get access to the services provided through this portal. Users shall provide a valid email address. All requested documents should be scanned and uploaded.
After successful registration, users will be required to call at the MLIRET to sign the registration form. Users shall also produce originals of the scanned documents.
After signature, the MLIRET will activate the users accounts whereby a username and password will be sent to the email address provided by the user to enable access to the portal.
Specific Terms and Conditions for applicants
Subscribers who wish to make an application (hereinafter referred to as applicant) should read the Guidelines provided on this portal and shall ensure compliance thereto.
The MLIRET will not be liable for any errors, inaccuracies or incompleteness of the information provided by applicants on this portal. Applicants are, therefore, requested to ensure that information provided is accurate and true.
